More random thoughts...

I just received my financial aid letter. Through the kindness of the universidad's heart, they are letting me borrow money from them. It's a wee daunting to be 31 and to be taking out a student loan. As if the mortgage we signed up for 4 months ago wasn't enough debt. Thank goodness our cars are paid off, I don't think I could take another minute of dwelling on just how much of my monthly payment is all interest. (As I say this, I no doubt imagine my irony loving car is rubbing together some thingy mabobber against some other thingamajig in a most inappropriate and auto-fatal way).

Spent 14 hours pulling weeds on Saturday. Though it was really only about an hour, I have figured that with the time change I can take liberties with how it FELT like. But are my thighs any sleeker for all the crouching...no, damn it. On top of that, my cats are acting strangly. I think it's sort of like how animals can sense an oncoming tornado or earthquake. What they are sensing is the rumbling of the ground as it laughs at our silly futility.

I am in awe of my pal Dixie's ability to blog almost daily. How in the devil can one woman gather her thoughts together that quickly. I spend a good hour just figuring out if what I'm about to say is going to get me institutionalized, and that's just when I'm trying to order a Cafe Mocha at Starbucks. Though I have been tempted to start a blog where each day I just put the same ominous phrase, such as "It's still looking at me..."

Mollie and I have the idea that if I'm having a truly dull day (and that's certainly not out of the realm of reality) then I will go to my backup list of topics...ramblings on a particular quirky subject.

Next on my list of quirky ramblings subjects - my apple slicer. You may be seeing it soon. Like...today!
